Nestling beneath Poachers Pocket within the Main House, The Retreat is a large room, with a huge brick inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove at one end, and a very generous refectory table at the other. Furnished and decorated for style and comfort in antique pine and soft leather sofas for the most rural and rustic of settings, with a wealth of oak beams and original features, The Retreat offers the ultimate in quality country accommodation.

A well-stocked cupboard of crockery, cutlery , glassware and equipment are at your disposal. Washing up, dishwasher and cloakroom facilities are all included and adjoining. Meals can be delivered to The Retreat by arrangement with our local recommended restaurants, or you can cook and bring your own meals from your fully equipped cottage kitchen. All of this within 50 metres of your cottage door, what could be better to complete the scene for those group activity holidays?

In this way, your own cottage remains your own retreat! This really is self-catering with a difference.

We can help you to plan your Group Booking, for activity providers, coming events and temporary memberships to golf, fishing, sailing etc. Family groups, special interest groups and corporate enquiries are all welcome.
